Black Eagle is a free browser arcade shooter by Gustavo Girard, an AI Design Engineer in San Jose. You fly a fighter over the ocean, shoot down enemy planes, dodge their fire, grab supply crates and, from level 10, take on a boss mothership. It runs full screen on desktop and mobile with no download or sign up, and every run can join a global leaderboard with your name and country flag.
THE STORY
Black Eagle started as a memory. One of the first video games I ever owned was River Raid on the Atari 2600, and I spent whole afternoons flying that little jet up the river, watching the fuel gauge and chasing one more point.
Decades later, AI changed how quickly an idea turns into something you can actually play. That pushed me to build a game that felt like those afternoons: a plane seen from above, controls you learn in a second, and the urge to try again the moment you crash.
Black Eagle is that game. I designed and built it with AI as my copilot, made it run in any browser, and gave it a leaderboard so the old arcade feeling of writing your name at the top comes back too.
HOW TO PLAY
- Shoot down enemy planes. Every 12 kills you climb a level and the sky gets busier.
- Fighters aim at you, red raiders cut across from the sides, zigzag planes fire straight down, bombers fire a spread of three, and from level 4 kamikazes dive at your position.
- Grab the crates they drop: P upgrades your guns twice, from a single shot to a four way spread, + gives an extra life (up to five), and from level 10 an M crate brings homing missiles.
- From level 10 the mothership arrives. It takes a beating, so keep moving.
